Where Do I Start?
When decorating my home for Spring there are a couple of things I do before adding accessories. A deep Spring cleaning is a must! I need to get my home organized and donate all home decor items that no longer serve me to fit my aesthetic. Then I focus on tackling a color palette that will fit my home and my mood. Check out my 2025 Color pallet blog to see what colors are trending this year. If you have a hard time choosing a color palette, select one bold color and 2 neutrals that complement the bold color.
Then start small, replacing dark and heavy decor with lighter fabrics and brighter hues. Remember to incorporate natural elements like fresh flowers, greenery, or even floral-scented candles.
When Do I start?
Most people start decorating for Spring in February or March, the earlier the better. But honestly, whatever fits your schedule and needs best. Most department stores will have Spring home decor finds by January. So it’s never too early to start, as long as it feels right to you.
Now let’s get into some Spring home decor ideas, inspo, and finds!
Spring Home Decor
Swap out heavy winter textures like velvet and wool for lighter, breezy fabrics such as cotton and linen. Incorporate pastel hues—soft pinks, pale yellows, mint greens, and sky blues—and mix them with natural elements like wood, wicker, or terracotta.
To tie it all together, consider adding fresh or faux flowers like tulips, daffodils, or peonies. These elements not only brighten your home but also inspire a sense of serenity and renewal.
1. Spring Living Room Decor
Your living room is the heart of your home, making it a perfect canvas for seasonal changes. For a cozy yet spring-inspired atmosphere:
Drape light throws over couches in pastel shades.
Add decorative pillows with floral prints or embroidered designs.
Replace winter-themed wall art with botanical or abstract spring-inspired pieces.
Adding Sheer Linen Curtains to let in more light
Table lamps with bases in ceramic or glass pastel tones
A vase of fresh blooms on the coffee table or mantel can elevate the entire room, creating a soothing, inviting space for family and guests.
2. Ideas for the Kitchen
Spring kitchen decor is all about blending practicality with charm. Try these ideas:
Use pastel or floral dish towels and oven mitts.
Display fresh herbs in small terracotta pots on your countertop.
Add a spring-themed table runner or placemats for a seasonal touch.
Display a bouquet of fresh flowers in a simple vase as a centerpiece
Add Baskets, glass containers, and white ceramic canisters to brighten up the room
Infuse a burst of color with a bowl of lemons, oranges, or fresh-cut flowers faux or real as a centerpiece—it’s simple yet impactful.
3. Spring Entryway Table Decor
Your entryway sets the tone for your entire home. Spruce it up with:
A small vase of flowers paired with a pastel or floral runner and scented spring candle.

Place a tall potted plant, like a fern or fiddle-leaf fig, beside the entryway table
