Season of Change

During this season of change and as we transition into the holidays, we must try to remember that not all of us are embracing this time. We are almost two years into the pandemic and are still filled with uncertainty. For some may have lost jobs, family members or have lost themselves in the midst of this chaos. We may be uncertain of what to expect for this upcoming season or if we can even afford gifts to place under a tree. As I sit back and look at all of the beautiful pictures of homes being designed for the holidays, I also reflect on the year we all had. This being said, i believe there are some things we can do to keep each other lifted through out these times

1) Be Understanding
If you are having a rough day, try to move with love and remember we are all in this battle together. We are all uncertain of what's to come but we are all uncertain together. We understand our battles but we never know what our neighbors, friends or family is truly going through inside. Let's try to be understanding and wish everyone well and pay attention to how we respond, so we can continue to understand ourselves in the process.

2) Take this time to reflect
Take time to reflect on this last year, last month or last season. Many of us may have traveled during the summer and returned safely. Many of us may have moved past some tough times or currently in tough times but we are still here. Reflect on your own healing journey and try to remember that the one relationship that matters most is the one we have with ourselves. Make time for yourself, take that walk every morning, seek therapy or become invested in something you love. Let this time be our time to understand, to heal and to grow.

3) Take the time to appreciate your surroundings.
Take that walk, embrace the different colors on the trees or the change in temperature. Embrace the decorations on someone's porch and that they can still look forward to the holidays. Acknowledge those that surround you with love and purity. Embrace it all, because you still can. We are here and constantly provided with all of our necessary essentials daily.

May we all enjoy every day. this season and embrace every moment!

Happy Season of Change!
